During a virtual Kabbalat Shabbat service Friday night, Tina Chery, co-founder and president of Louis D. Brown Peace Institute, named multiple people killed by police in Boston: Burrell Ramsey, Terrence Coleman, Darryl Dookhran, Angelo West and Manuel “Junior” DaVeiga.

“We cannot forget about the victims in our own backyard, our city of Boston,” she said.

The service, attended through Zoom and Facebook Live, focused on mourning and healing for the lives lost due to coronavirus “and the virus of racism, bigotry, and hatred.”
