Please join us for this upcoming SEL Connects Networking Meeting. This event will focus on how we can develop culturally responsive and trauma-informed SEL practices with families and communities.
The meeting will feature a presentation by Chaplain Tina Chéry of the Louis D. Brown Peace Institute. Chaplain Chéry has over two decades of experience working with communities impacted by trauma. She will present on her organization and their approach to cultural responsivity and trauma informed care.
She will then lead the group through an interactive Peace Play experience. Peace Play is a therapeutic family and community program that helps individuals express their thoughts and feelings through experiential play rather than through words.
